SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE – SEPTEMBER 29, 2013

September 29, 2013

Hello Timberlane!

It has been several weeks since we have all returned back to school. I hope that everybody has settled in and is working hard to reach their maximum potential. Remember dreams are realized when you work hard and want it bad enough. Your hard work will help you to never settle for anything less than the best.

I want to take this opportunity to thank our Secondary Guidance Director, Mr. Barry Chooljian and his staff for the outstanding College Fair the past several weeks. The college representatives had high praise for our students and staff at the high school. Well done Timberlane!

Our Freshman Academy is off to another great start. Recently our freshman class worked on getting to know each other better, teamwork and leadership at Adventurelore in Danville. Again, excellent work Timberlane!

Our budget season has begun. We will continue to work SMART with taxpayer money to help the brightest and best teachers in Southern New Hampshire inspire our children. Our instructional staff does outstanding work with the resources that you provide us. I want you to be as proud of our School District as we are. The Superintendents Leadership Team will begin conducting Instructional Rounds later this month in all of our schools. I will be reporting on those visits in future letters.

Again, thank you for your patience and support with the mosquito battle, especially concerning EEE and West Nile Virus potential exposure. We will continue to do everything that we can to keep our children safe. I will be including in next year’s budget funds to spray our fields and school grounds. We work closely with each of our four towns and they have been outstanding. We should all be proud of the fact that our elected officials will do whatever it takes to keep our kids safe…and that is priceless.

Finally, we have our annual Flu Clinic Scheduled for October 8th at the High School. I encourage you to get your flu shot. You can register by contacting the health office in the high school at 603-382-6541 ext. 3910.

Please feel free to contact me by calling Cathy Belcher at 603-382-6119 or by email at Email. Thank you for your continued support.
