Superintendent’s Letter to 7th and 8th Grade Parents
Dear Timberlane 7th and 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,
It is an exciting time at the Timberlane Regional Middle School where eighth graders are winding down their middle school experience and are beginning to prepare for the transition to high school and 7th grade parents are beginning to think about it.
As such, I’d like to take this opportunity to reach out to parents and share how excited I am about the future of the Timberlane Regional High School. Freshman Academy is in full swing as is the installation of Academic Deans who are dedicated to improving rigor and accountability in all high school studies. These, coupled with our excellent academic, athletic and arts opportunities, are important factors in our effort to lead the learning in southern New Hampshire.
In the event you are considering alternative high school options, I would like to request that you share with me the reasons or drivers which have brought you to this decision. This information will be used in the development of our school action plans, as it is essential we understand where parents feel our high school falls short. This will also allow us an opportunity to identify and address those areas as well as meet the educational needs of our district families.
I would be happy to hear your thoughts about this and offer three options in which to share this information. You may Email me directly or call my office at 382-6119 ext. 2217 to speak with me or to schedule an appointment.
I appreciate any and all input from the primary stakeholders of our school district – our parents. Thank you in advance for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Earl Metzler
Superintendent of Schools
