High School National Honors Society Students Participate In Atkinson Holiday Event
Each year the Town Of Atkinson gathers on Dow Common for the Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree event on November 29th. Many different civic organizations from the town have come together to hold this event for more than 25 years and it has always been a highlight of the holiday season. This year, through our Community Partnership with the Atkinson Community Center, eight students from the Timberlane Regional High School National Honors Society volunteered to lend a helping hand at the event. The students helped to set up the town common, work at the many vendors tables and helped with Santa’s arrival and picture taking with the kids. Thank you to the Atkinson Community Center Recreation & Senior Programs Director Noriko Yoshida-Travers for organizing the event and working with our students throughout the afternoon and evening. They were certainly happy to be part of such a special day to help kick off the holiday season in our community. As a community partner the Timberlane Regional School District looks forward to many more opportunities to work with the Atkinson Community Center and support their upcoming events.
