Superintendent Participates in Holiday Read Aloud at the TLC at Sandown Central
At the invitation of Principal Rolph, Dr. Metzler participated in the TLC at Sandown Central School’s read aloud activity as part of the school’s community building initiative. This two-day event held on December 21st and 22nd also included readings from representatives of the Sandown Police Department, the Sandown Fire Department, and the Board of Selectmen. Students and their parents from both the preschool and the kindergarten programs were treated to a holiday story and a special craft. Seventy students along with parents (and some grandparents) participated on Wednesday and 90 students and their parents participated on Thursday. Commendations are extended to Principal Rolph and Preschool Director Kathy McKechnie for coordinating this wonderful event.
These school visits are very special to me as they provide me an opportunity to reflect on why we work so hard to offer our students the very best education. Our commitment of putting students first continues to be the driving force behind our program initiatives and system improvements. – Dr. Metzler
