SAU55 Board Approves Superintendent’s Goals for 2017-18
Fifty-five individual goals within the confines of five major categories were approved by unanimous vote of the SAU55 Board at their October 4th meeting. In his goals, Superintendent Dr. Earl Metzler commits to initiatives that will advance student achievement, improve climate, culture and community relations, improve business operations, budget development and planning, improve communication efforts and technology systems, and improve district facilities and operations for both the Hampstead and Timberlane Regional school districts.
Dr. Metzler states, “These goals were developed in response to listening to individual board members and both boards, as well as designed to align our mutual vision for leading the learning in New Hampshire. These goals are ambitious and, upon their completion, will enhance the many successes and improvements made over the past five years. I am very appreciative of the support of the SAU Board and look forward to partnering with them and our individual districts in our collective effort to increase the rigor, accountability, evaluation and support that drives student achievement.”
“The SAU Board values and appreciates these well-thought out goals as proposed by the Superintendent. As such, the Board will collaborate with the Superintendent to ensure his success in attaining each one of them.” – Sue Sherman, SAU Board Chair
