More Student Athletes on the Move
The high school is proud to announce that Junior Connor McGonagle has accepted a Division I offer of athletic scholarship to wrestle at Lehigh University, in Bethlehem PA. Connor is excited to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at a such a great academic institution that is also a perennial national powerhouse in the sport of wrestling. Connor is the son of John and Irene McGonagle of Danville. The nationally ranked Timberlane Junior is already a 2x New Hampshire State Champion, New England Champion, Freshmen National Champion, Sophomore National Runner-Up and has an amazing High School record of 101-6 thus far.
Coach Barry Chooljian says of Connor, “We are so proud of Connor and all he has accomplished and look forward to his continued success at Timberlane and at Lehigh in his future. It’s a great example of one of our student athletes hard work paying off!”
Superintendent Dr. Earl Metzler adds, “Students like Connor, as well as other recently recognized student athletes Hayle Ashford, Kylie Fitzpatrick and Taryn MacKinnon, represent some of Timberlane’s most talented young adults who understand and embrace the core values associated with hard work, self-discipline, and commitment. We are very appreciative of the many students at Timberlane who strive for excellence, and for the people in their lives who encourage and support them.”
