TIMBERLANE LAUNCHES NEW DISTRICT WEBSITE
The Timberlane Regional School District is pleased to announce the launch of the revamped district website this past weekend. The objective of this endeavor is to provide a new, more user-friendly format for all Timberlane sites. Variables considered include intuitive navigation, organization and ease of access to frequent content, and modernizing each site’s look and feel. This update is the effort of several groups, including the Superintendent’s Technology Advisory Committee.
The district-wide update began this past summer, with the TLC at Sandown Central site launch in June. All other schools are slated for updates and relaunch over the course of the school year.
The district site, as well as all sites slated for update, will include the same stakeholder page header for students, parents, staff, School Board, and community members for direct access to common resource links. The sites also feature a right-hand side-bar of icons, which allow one-click access to frequently visited areas such as employment, calendar, and events.
Director of Technology Ken Henderson states, “We focused on ease of use and reducing the number of clicks to get to resources commonly accessed. I believe the new format helps accomplish those goals. That being said we are always looking to improve and plan to continue to refine and add more resources in the future.”
Superintendent Dr. Earl Metzler adds, “We are pleased to offer an improved and more user friendly website for the Timberlane community as this project aligns with one of our goals to improve district-wide communication. This new online platform does just that. A lot of hard work and thought went into this project; we have an amazing technology team.”
