Cleaner Greener Timberlane May 2019
During the week of May 18th, staff, students, and administrators from all seven schools in the district carried out Cleaner Greener Timberlane Projects at their schools. Clean up and beautification projects included interior and exterior painting, clearing and planting gardens, sprucing up the entrances to the high school and middle school, cleaning courtyards, spreading new bark mulch, and general grounds keeping. Students and staff, along with community members from the Rock Church in Plaistow and Sandown came together with school custodial and groundskeeping staff to carry out their planned projects. “It was a wonderful event that included community collaboration at its best” said Scott Strainge, Associate Principal and Co-Chair of the Cleaner Greener Timberlane Committee. Tom Geary, Cleaner Greener Committee Co-Chair and Business Operation Coordinator said, “Our school facilities and grounds should be a source of civic pride for all residents in our four town district, not just our staff and students. We are thankful for our school community’s good will.”
Dr. Metzler would like to thank everyone for participating in and supporting this nationally recognized district-wide initiative. We look forward to great things for this program in the 2019-2020 school year.
