Timberlane Regional Middle School Teacher Arrested – Public Statement
The Timberlane Regional School District learned on June 3, 2020 that Mr. Christopher M. Gempp, a Technology Teacher at Timberlane Regional Middle School, was arrested by the Nashua Police and charged with attempted felonious sexual assault and certain uses of computer services prohibited, both class B felonies. He has been held on $5,000 cash bail. Upon learning of the incident, Superintendent Metzler immediately removed Mr. Gempp from all of his responsibilities and placed him on leave.
Some news outlets are reporting Mr. Gempp has been under investigation since April. The District was not aware of, nor was involved in the investigation, and the District did not learn of the conduct or the charges against Mr. Gempp until his arrest on June 3rd.
Mr. Gempp was hired in 2017. At this time, the District is not aware of any incidents or conduct involving any students in the District, but asks that anyone with information related to this matter report it immediately to the Nashua Police Department at (603) 594-3500. The District is working closely with the New Hampshire Department of Education as well as local law enforcement and will provide updated information, when appropriate.
