Important SAT Testing Information
State testing for juniors is scheduled for Wednesday, March 2nd. This year for state testing, the Junior Class will be taking the SAT. Students’ SAT scores are critical for any students who are pursuing any type of education after high school. SAT scores are one of the components used by colleges and universities when deciding to accept students. It is very important that all juniors try their best even if they are not planning on pursuing any post-secondary education immediately after high school.
Since the SAT is also serving as the state testing for juniors this year, students’ SAT scores will be representing Timberlane and will be used to measure the quality education at Timberlane. It is critical for students to try their best so to give an accurate representation of what they have learned thus far at Timberlane.
A few reminders for juniors:
Juniors should get a good night’s sleep and eat a hearty breakfast in the morning. Juniors should report to the cafeteria by 7:20 AM and should bring the following:
- Two Number 2 pencils with erasers (No pens or mechanical pencils),
- An acceptable calculator (no phone calculators),
- Backpacks/snacks which will be put away under their desk during testing. There will be scheduled times for snacks.
The following items will not be allowed for any reason:
- Electronic equipment of any kind including phones, laptops, iPod, iPad, tablets, cameras, audio players, etc.,
- Highlighters, rulers, earplugs, books, or scrap paper.
A student’s test will become invalid if they attempt to use their phone (even during breaks) or if their phone makes any noise.
Good luck to all juniors, make Timberlane proud!
