Summer Enrichment Program -2013
During the heat wave of July, Timberlane Regional Middle School’s back hallway was full of energy and life for the 2013 Summer Enrichment Program that was run by three of our finest teachers: Paul Henderson, Kathleen McGuirk, and Ryan McCluskey. Over ten students in grades 6-8 participated in the summer program which allowed individualized instruction in language arts, math, and history through technology. The teachers integrated creative lessons that challenged students to practice skills and concepts for the upcoming year, while building confidence and having fun. At the end of the two weeks, the teachers brought the students on a field trip to the historical sites in Lexington, MA which included a tour of Minuteman Park, a musket demonstration, exploration of Meriam’s Corner and a visit to North Bridge. I was fortunate enough to experience the exploration at Lexington and learn a great deal of history. I would like to thank the Summer Enrichment teachers for their time and I encourage all students to consider signing up for the program next year!
