Seacoast Youth Services, (SYS) is excited to offer a new program, The Odyssey Intensive Outpatient Program, (OIOP) for adolescents. This program will provide a structured more intensive, hands on, Psycho-educational treatment experience for young people, ages 14-18, struggling with substance use and mental health issues. Meeting four days a week after school, OIOP will provide participants a safe and stimulating program based on strength-based best practices for teens. Qualified staff will assist each participant in developing individualized goals based on OIOP values. Adventure-based activities and Mindfulness-based recovery skills are an important part of the OIOP.  Parents and guardians will participate in office based and home-based family therapy to help support their teens in more effective ways. Parents and guardians will also participate in a weekly parent support group.

In addition to the OIOP, MLADC assessment services are now available at SYS. Any teen in need of a comprehensive chemical dependency assessment can schedule an evaluation. Medicaid and other insurances are accepted. We also offer sliding scale for clients who would prefer to self-pay.

Overview:

CFS Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment (ASAT) offers information and screening, assessment, outpatient counseling, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and recovery support to NH youth ages 12-24 and their families in Manchester, Concord, and the Lakes Region. Services are available to individuals with substance use problems and co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.

 

Description of Services: 

Information and Screening:

Concerned parents or other parties can call and speak with one of our program’s Licensed Substance Abuse and Mental Health professionals to ask questions, gather information, schedule an appointment, and receive referrals to resources. Phone consultations are free.

Assessment:

ASAT uses a standardized, evidence-based assessment tool called the Global Appraisal of Individual Needs (GAIN). The assessment process helps our clinicians determine recommendations to best support our clients. We offer assessments to both voluntary and court-ordered clients.

Outpatient Counseling:

ASAT offers individual substance abuse counseling to adolescents and young adults. This may also include couples, family, and/or group elements.

• Drug testing
• Information and referral
• Evidence based treatment by licensed SA professionals for adolescents and young adults pieces
• Continuing care and recovery support groups
• 24/7 on call for Crisis Support

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP):
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), provides expert, high intensity group treatment for young people up to age 21. IOP gives young people with substance abuse problems and co-occurring conditions a structured treatment program to provide them with the tools to move toward recovery while remaining in their home and community. It can also serve as continuing care for individuals returning home from inpatient treatment. IOP incorporates evidence-based treatment in a unique balance of psycho-education, motivational enhancement, relapse prevention, skills training, and recovery support.  IOP is a 12-week program that includes two distinct phases of treatment:

Phase One is the first six weeks of the program. It meets Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 7 pm.
Phase Two, also known as Step Down, is the second half. It meets on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 pm.

• Parent support
• Crisis management
• Youth-oriented aftercare recovery support group
• Connection to community support groups
• Family nights
• Recreational activities
• Meals and snacks
• 24/7 on call for crisis support

Access to Recovery (ATR) Services:

ASAT is a contracted provider for ATR through the Bureau of Drag and Alcohol Services (BDAS). The full range of ASAT services are available to those seeking treatment using an ATR voucher. A referral must come through an ATR Care Coordinator in order to access treatment through ASAT.

Endurance Behavioral Health provides mental health treatment for adolescents in the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire. In order to be most responsive to the needs of adolescents in our community, Endurance now offers two programs: a six-hour Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and a three-hour Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). These programs represent intermediate-level treatment options for adolescents whose needs are too complex for outpatient therapy but do not reach the threshold for inpatient hospitalization.

At Endurance, our mission is to instill the qualities of respect, dignity, responsibility, compassion, and perseverance by engaging adolescents and their families in high-quality, effective mental health treatment.
