Do you want to attend LIVE the TEDxTimberlaneSchools at the Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 6, 2012 for free? Here is your chance! Write a persuasive essay of 500 words or more answering the following questions:
Why is it important for you to attend our TEDxTimberlaneSchools Event?
How will you use the experience of TEDx to make a positive change in your community?
Please send your typewritten essay as an e-mail attachment to scott.strainge@timberlane.net .
TRHS Students and recent TRHS graduates are invited to apply for a free ticket through this process.
The School’s 6+1 Rubric (Ideas and Voice) will be used to score the essay. A panel of TRHS teachers will do the scoring and judging of the essays and the top 50 students as selected by the panel will get a free ticket to the live audience event!
THE ESSAY IS DUE BY TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th, 2012.
